What is pelvic floor physical therapy?

Pelvic health refers to the proper functioning and balance of the pelvic floor muscles, which provide support for the bladder, uterus, and rectum. Pelvic floor dysfunction can lead to a range of symptoms, including pelvic floor weakness, pain, bowel or bladder dysfunction, and sexual dysfunction. Pelvic health physical therapy can help those who suffer from these symptoms improve their pelvic floor function and improve their overall quality of life.

services Offered

  • Concierge Physical Therapy

You stay home and your PT comes to you. You receive the holistic and integrative care you need right in the comfort of your home or office. This can include therapeutic massage, cupping, clinical pilates, yoga therapy, and more. Because you're at home, you'll have the added benefit of receiving functional training with your own equipment.

  • Telehealth Physical Therapy

If you’re outside of the local treatment area, you can meet with your PT online, through a secure and encrypted HIPAA compliant platform. Like concierge PT, you will receive integrative and holistic care, including clinical pilates, yoga therapy, etc. You’ll learn how to perform manual therapy, like self massage and mobilization, with guidance from your PT. It's almost like receiving in person care.

  • Integrative Pelvic Health Coaching

Whether you’re within or outside of the treatment area, your PT will guide you in creating optimal pelvic health and overall wellbeing. This is especially useful for those wanting to prepare for birth, optimize recovery during the postpartum period, gracefully transition through menopause, or holistically supplement traditional treatments for chronic pain or chronic conditions.
