FAQS

  • Do you accept insurance for PT services?

Lotus Physical Therapy & Wellness, LLC is an "out of network" (OON) provider. This means that you pay upfront for your services and you are responsible for submitting a claim to your insurance. Coaching is a wellness service and a superbill will not be provided.

I would not be able to ensure the unique and integrative physical therapy experience I am committed to providing with insurance companies dictating how often, how long, and what you receive in therapy. Given the level of expertise and experience provided, your time and money will be well spent.

  • How long is treatment?

PT Initial evaluation are scheduled for 75 minutes but may take as long as 90 minutes depending on the extend of your condition. Follow up visits, coaching and Telehealth sessions are scheduled for 60 minutes.

The length of your overall treatment is dependent on the severity of your condition, the level of accountability you require, time, and finances. As it is my goal for all patients to become experts in their own body, some people need more guidance than others. It’s not uncommon for some to require only 1-2 visits where others may require 12 more more. It all depends.

  • How much will I pay for services?

The total cost of treatment will vary from person to person. Individual appointments are paid in advance or at the time of service, ranging from $300-350 per session. Packages are available for purchase with discounts rates.

As part of your care, you gain access to your PT via text and email and supplementary materials where appropriate including handouts, virtual exercise program, self care program, guided meditations, etc.

Given the level of expertise and experience provided, your time and money will be well spent. You get what you pay for.

  • Will I be reimbursed for PT services by my insurance company?

Depending on your insurance, you may be eligible for reimbursement for your OON physical therapy services, as determined by your insurance provider. Contact your insurance company prior to your first visit to inquire. You will be provided with the necessary documentation needed to submit a claim. Not sure what to ask your insurance provider? Contact us and we will walk you through the right questions to ask.

  • Do I need a referral for PT services?

New Jersey is a direct access state, meaning a prescription from your physician, midwife, or other health care provider is not necessary prior to attending physical therapy.

  • What is the difference between PT and integrative coaching?

PT services are available to individuals living in the state of NJ. These services are reserved for individuals with a specific condition that can be diagnosed by the PT. Coaching is for anyone within or outside of the state of NJ who wants to optimize their health and wellbeing. Coaching combines education from pelvic health or general physical health with complementary modalities including stress management, mindfulness, and self care practices. This is especially helpful for individuals who want to prepare for birth, transition through menopause with ease, optimize postpartum recovery, or supplement alternative care with traditional care.

Whether you receive PT or coaching, all services are personalized, comprehensive and tailored to address your unique needs.

  • What is considered the treatment area for in home visits?

Concierge, in home visits, are limited to the greater Morristown area. This includes parts of Morris, Essex, and Passaic counties. Please reach out if you have any questions about your specific area.

If you are outside of the treatment area but wish to receive care, Telehealth through a secure and encrypted HIPAA compliant platform is available. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to reach out.
